Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Septimius Severus facing right, presented in three-quarter rear view, a style characteristic of certain provincial Roman bronzes of the Severan period. The cuirass is visible at the shoulder, and the laurel wreath encircles the head in the imperial tradition. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full titulature in the provincial epigraphic convention.
