| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and laurel wreath. The portrait, seen from the front, displays the emperor's characteristic broad features and curled locks. The cuirass and drapery are rendered with crisp detail over the left shoulder. The Greek legend encircles the bust within a beaded border. The overall style is characteristic of the high-quality provincial Greek coinage struck in the Ionian conventus during the Severan period. |
