| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip I (Philip the Arab) facing right, depicted from the front with pronounced three-quarter perspective. The emperor wears a radiate laurel wreath and articulated military cuirass with pteryges visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the vigorous, somewhat severe style characteristic of mid-third-century provincial bronzes.
