Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, presented from a rear three-quarter perspective, displaying the elaborately decorated muscled cuirass with pteryges visible at the shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in high relief with notable attention to the beard and facial features characteristic of Macrinus. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within a beaded border, occupying the full periphery of the flan.
