Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in high relief with finely articulated paludamentum and segmented cuirass visible at the shoulder. The emperor's characteristic short beard and wavy hair beneath the laurel wreath are rendered with considerable detail typical of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The peripheral Greek legend runs clockwise around the bust, divided into two segments across the field.

Reverse description A classical distyle temple framing Sarapis standing to the right, dressed in robes and wearing his characteristic modius crown, holding a long sceptre in his left hand and extending a globe in his right. To the right of the temple, the laureate figure of Emperor Hadrian stands facing left in toga, holding a sceptre, in the act of adoration before the deity. Between the two figures stands an altar inscribed ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟΝ, commemorating the emperor's dedication. The date regnal legend L ΙΖ appears in the field.
