Obverse description Laureate, draped, and bearded bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in the characteristic provincial style of the Cyzicus mint. The laureate wreath is rendered in fine relief with individual leaves clearly articulated, and the emperor's beard — a hallmark of Hadrianic portraiture — is depicted with characteristic curled locks. The surrounding Greek legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, set within a dotted border.
