Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted in three-quarter view from the front, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the conventional provincial style, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated atop the head. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan.
