Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, presented in three-quarter frontal view, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy displays the characteristic youthful features associated with this emperor, rendered in the provincial die-cutting style of the Pergamene conventus. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor by his regnal title in the nominative case.
