| Obverse description | Radiate effigy of Divus Augustus facing left, rendered in moderate relief with a prominent radiate crown of multiple spikes. A star appears in the upper field above the head. The encircling Latin legend reads DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, distributed around the periphery. The flan shows an irregular edge with a pierced hole at the upper left, consistent with ancient re-use as a pendant. The style of the portrait is characteristically provincial, with bold if somewhat roughly engraved facial features. |
