Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with pronounced facial features and layered laurel wreath. The encircling Greek legend runs along the outer border of the flan, partially visible given the irregular edge of the coin. The portrait conveys the mature likeness of the emperor as established during his later reign.
