Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, with hair elaborately dressed and coiled at the nape of the neck in the characteristic Antonine fashion. The portrait is rendered in the refined provincial style of the Alexandrian mint, capturing the idealized imperial likeness. The Greek legend ΦΑΥϹΤΙΝΑ ϹΕΒ ΘΥΓ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕΒ runs around the periphery of the field, identifying her as Augusta and daughter of the pious Augustus.

Reverse description Isis Pharia depicted standing and advancing to the right, wearing a long draped garment with the characteristic knotted linen mantle. She holds a billowing sail in her outstretched left hand and a sistrum in her right, attributes linking her to navigation and her role as protectress of mariners. Before her to the right stands the Pharos of Alexandria, the celebrated lighthouse rendered as a multi-tiered tower, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. The regnal date legend L ΔωΔΕΚΑΤΟΥ appears in the field to the left, denoting the 12th year of Antoninus Pius.
