Obverse description Laureate, nude bust of the emperor Trajan facing right, with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. The effigy displays strong portraiture with a prominent profile and laurel wreath clearly visible atop the head. The Greek imperial legend surrounds the bust, partially visible along the left and right fields. The flan is irregular and slightly off-center, consistent with hand-struck provincial coinage of the period.
