Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Trajan facing right, with short beard, the laureate wreath rendered in fine detail. The imperial effigy is depicted in a confident, slightly draped bust style characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage of the early 2nd century AD. The Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, distributed to left and right. The flan is broad and irregular, with the surfaces exhibiting the characteristic fabric of Alexandrian bronze issues.
