| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of the Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The laureate wreath is clearly delineated, and the portrait displays the characteristic strong features of Trajan. The surrounding legend in Greek characters runs along the beaded border of the flan. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered provincial bronzes of this period. |

| Reverse description | Sarapis enthroned to the left, wearing the modius (kalathos) on his head, his right hand extended and his left hand grasping a tall sceptre. At his feet to the lower left crouches Cerberus, the three-headed guardian of the underworld, rendered as a single canine figure in the provincial tradition. The composition is enclosed within a beaded border. The regnal date legend L Β appears to the left of the seated deity in the field. |
