Obverse description Radiate head of the deified Augustus facing left, rendered in relief with draped shoulders visible at the truncation. The effigy displays the characteristic posthumous portraiture of Augustus as Divus, with a radiate crown denoting his divine status. The encircling Latin legend reads DIVVS AVGVSTVS PAT PATRIA, distributed around the periphery of the field. The style is consistent with provincial Roman die-cutting of the Tiberian period, showing competent but relatively flat engraving typical of the Emerita mint.
