| Obverse description | Radiate head of the deified Augustus facing left, rendered in relief with draped shoulders visible at the truncation. The effigy displays the characteristic posthumous portraiture of Augustus as Divus, with a radiate crown denoting his divine status. The encircling Latin legend reads DIVVS AVGVSTVS PAT PATRIA, distributed around the periphery of the field. The style is consistent with provincial Roman die-cutting of the Tiberian period, showing competent but relatively flat engraving typical of the Emerita mint. |
