Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter view, a common provincial convention emphasizing imperial military dress. The obverse legend encircles the bust, identifying the emperor by his full titulature in Greek characters. The portrait exhibits the characteristic youthful features associated with Severus Alexander's official iconography, with the laurel wreath rendered in relief above the brow. The cuirass and drapery are rendered with detail typical of Lydian provincial die-cutting of the Severan period.
