Obverse description Radiate bust of Septimius Severus facing right, with short beard and cuirass visible at the shoulder truncation, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Bithynian coinage. The radiate crown, composed of pointed rays, frames the emperor's effigy prominently at center. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular edge. The engraving displays the bold, somewhat provincial die-cutting characteristic of Nicomedian workshop production under the Severan dynasty.
