| Obverse description | Heavily worn and encrusted obverse, with all design elements and legend obscured by thick patination and surface corrosion. Based on the coin type, the obverse would have featured a laureate bust of Septimius Severus facing right, with an Imperial titulature legend in Greek surrounding the portrait. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with provincial bronze coinage of Asia Minor struck under the Severan dynasty. |
