The horse is depicted in a vigorous prancing pose with forelegs raised, rendered in relief typical of Lydian-Phrygian provincial coinage. The Greek civic legend encircles the type, identifying the local magistrate and the issuing community of the Aninetaeans. The composition fills the broad flan, with traces of a ground line beneath the horse. |
