| Reverse description | Homonoia type depicting two enthroned personifications facing one another in a composition symbolising the concordance between Aphrodisias and Ephesus. At right, the Tyche of Aphrodisias is seated, wearing a kalathos, holding a sceptre in one hand and the cult-statue of Aphrodite of Aphrodisias in the other. Facing her at left sits the personification of Ephesus, bare-headed and naked to the waist, holding a sceptre and the cult-statue of Artemis of Ephesus. The legend in the field records the names of both cities, the concept of Homonoia, and the name of the presiding archon Flavius Peritianus. |
