Obverse description Laureate bust of Lucius Verus, draped in paludamentum and cuirass, facing right and seen from the rear, the head turned to display the laureate profile. Reverse description A monumental temple pylon rendered in schematic architectural style, its two flanking towers framing a central gateway within which two Canopic jars are depicted standing side by side on a base. The composition evokes the sacred architecture of Egyptian religious sites, with the Canopi — vessels associated with the cult of Osiris — prominently displayed within the pylon's embrace. The regnal year date appears in the field. The overall design reflects the Alexandrian mint's characteristic synthesis of Greco-Roman and Egyptian iconographic traditions.
