Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's characteristic beard and curled hair are rendered in high relief, consistent with the Alexandrian workshop style. The surrounding Greek legend names the emperor in full imperial titulature, disposed around the field in two sections.

Reverse description Tyche, the personification of Fortune, reclines to the left upon an ornate lectisternium — a cushioned ceremonial couch depicted with a beaded frame — her robes draped in flowing folds across her body. She holds a long rudder diagonally in her extended right hand, symbolising her governance over destiny and navigation. The regnal date legend L ΚΑ (Year 21) appears in the upper field above the couch, serving as the sole inscription on the reverse.
