Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from behind, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy displays characteristic Hadrianic portraiture with a full beard and laureate wreath. The surrounding Greek legend is distributed in the field around the bust, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, typical of Alexandrian civic bronze coinage of the period.
