Reverse description Athena standing facing, her helmeted head turned to the right, clad in chiton and aegis, holding a long spear upright in her left hand with a large oval shield resting at her feet to the left. Her right arm is extended outward, supporting an owl perched upon her outstretched hand. The composition is bold and well-centred, rendered in high relief characteristic of Alexandrian bronze coinage. The regnal year date L ΙΗ (Year 18) is divided across the field to either side of the figure.
