| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in the three-quarter frontal Alexandrian style. The emperor is depicted with his characteristic short beard and curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The legend runs in two parts across the field, flanking the imperial effigy. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with Alexandrian provincial coinage of the period. |
