Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The emperor is depicted with a short beard, consistent with his characteristic portraiture, and a laurel wreath crowning his head. A beaded border runs along the inner edge of the flan. The Greek imperial legend is distributed around the bust in the field.

Reverse description Euthenia, the personification of abundance and prosperity, depicted reclining to the left upon the back of a recumbent sphinx. She is shown draped, leaning on her left arm, and holds ears of corn in her extended right hand. The composition is rendered in a Hellenistic-Egyptian artistic tradition typical of Alexandrian civic coinage. The regnal year legend L Γ (Year 3) appears in the exergue below the ground line, within a beaded border.
