Reverse description Hermanubis, the syncretic Graeco-Egyptian deity combining Hermes and Anubis, depicted standing facing with head turned to right. The figure holds a caduceus in one hand and a palm branch in the other, emblematic of his dual divine function as guide of souls and herald. Additional information

Year 19 of Hadrian's reign, rendered in the regnal dating system Alexandria maintained throughout the imperial period. The ΕΝΝΕΑΚ·Δ notation marks this as a product of that 19th year — 134/135 AD — during Hadrian's second and final visit to Egypt, which had concluded just a few years prior and left a documented mark on Alexandrian civic coinage through elevated mint output and unusual type diversity.
