| Obverse description | Radiate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing left in three-quarter frontal view, the bust shown from the front with spear held upright in the right hand and a round shield raised in the left. The portrait reflects the military iconography characteristic of mid-third-century provincial bronze coinage, with the emperor presented in full martial regalia. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor in the nominative case. The overall style is consistent with the civic bronze emissions of Asia Minor during the sole reign of Gallienus (260–268 AD). |
