Reverse description A slow quadriga advances to the right, the four horses rendered in dynamic profile with visible wheel spokes at lower left. The triumphator stands erect in the chariot, holding a sceptre in his left hand, depicted in the traditional Roman triumphal pose. Above the quadriga, the colonial legend is inscribed in two lines across the upper field, while the abbreviated colonial title appears in the lower exergual area. The composition is bold and deeply struck, characteristic of the large-module colonial bronzes issued under Domitian at Patras.
