Reverse description Standing figure of the nome deity Ba-neb-djedet (Mendes), bearded and facing, with head turned to the right, depicted in the syncretic Graeco-Egyptian style. The deity wears an atef crown surmounted by a solar disc flanked by two uraei mounted upon ram's horns, the iconographic hallmark of the Mendesian nome. In the left hand he holds a long sceptre, and in the right a goat, emblematic of the sacred animal of Mendes. The nome legend and regnal year appear in the field.
