| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, wearing the paludamentum over the shoulder. The emperor is depicted with his characteristic full beard and finely rendered hair beneath the laurel wreath, conveying imperial authority. The Greek legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan, reading from upper left to right. The relief is bold and well-modelled, consistent with Alexandrian mint production of the mid-Antonine period. The flan is irregular and shows typical hammered fabric. |
