| Obverse description | Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The emperor is portrayed with short, curly hair bound by a laurel wreath, and a full beard rendered in the characteristic Antonine style. The Greek imperial legend encircles the effigy, reading from the left field across the upper periphery to the right. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, typical of Alexandrian provincial bronze coinage of this period. |
