| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style with coarse but expressive workmanship. The wreath of laurel leaves is visible atop the head, and the emperor's characteristic beard and mature features are discernible despite the worn surfaces. The surrounding Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan shape typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the period. |
