Obverse description Laureate bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with draped shoulder visible, rendered in high relief with characteristic portrait features of the emperor including curled beard and hair. The effigy displays the idealized imperial portrait style typical of Alexandrian coinage of the period. A Greek legend runs along the outer border of the obverse field identifying the emperor by his full titulature.
