Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, seen from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style typical of mid-second-century Egyptian coinage. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is broad and irregular, characteristic of Alexandrian bronze issues of this period.
