Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, depicted with characteristic beard and imperial paludamentum visible at the truncation. The portrait follows the Alexandrian provincial style, rendered with broad, bold features typical of the Antonine period. The Greek imperial legend encircles the effigy, running from the left field around the upper periphery to the right. The flan shows the characteristic irregular edge of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period.
