Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The portrait is executed in moderate relief, with the laurel wreath clearly indicated atop the head. A Greek legend encircles the effigy along the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze issues of the period.
