| Reverse description | Bust of Hermanubis facing right, wearing the kalathos (modius basket) atop the head, a syncretic deity combining the Greek Hermes and Egyptian Anubis. A caduceus appears behind the bust and a palm-branch is placed before it, both attributes reinforcing the deity's Hermetic and funerary associations. The regnal date legend occupies the field in two characters. The reverse composition is typical of the rich iconographic repertoire of Alexandrian provincial coinage under the Antonine dynasty. |
