Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style of Alexandrian coinage. The portrait displays characteristic features of the emperor with a wreathed laurel crown. A Greek imperial legend surrounds the effigy along the periphery of the flan, reading from upper left. The coin exhibits the typical broad, slightly irregular flan characteristic of Alexandrian bronze issues of the mid-second century AD.
