| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Marcus Aurelius Caesar, with short beard, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and seen from the rear. The legend encircling the bust identifies him as Caesar under the reign of Antoninus Pius. The portraiture reflects the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style, with bold, slightly stylised facial features typical of mid-second century Egyptian bronze coinage.
