Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed and paludamentum-draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing left, seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The emperor's portrait is presented in a three-quarter rear view, an iconographic convention occasionally employed in Alexandrian issues of this period. The legend encircling the bust identifies the emperor with his full titulature in Greek characters.
