| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and viewed from the rear, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The imperial titulature runs in Greek legend around the periphery of the flan. The portraiture reflects the characteristic treatment of Antonine-era Alexandrian coinage, with military dress emphasizing the emperor's role as commander. The flan is broad and irregular, typical of large-module Egyptian provincial bronze issues. |
