Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's portrait is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of Syro-Palestinian workshops, with a radiate wreath and layered military dress. A partially preserved Greek legend surrounds the effigy along the rim, of which only ]ΝΙΝΟϹ[ remains legible, the remainder lost to wear and corrosion. The flan is broad and irregular, consistent with provincial Æ production of the Antonine period.
