Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian facing right, portrayed in three-quarter rear view, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy displays the characteristic military presentation of the joint reign period, with finely rendered layering of the cuirass and drapery. The encircling Greek legend occupies the periphery of the field, naming the emperor in full titulature.
