| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian I facing right, depicted from the rear in the three-quarter back view characteristic of provincial coinage of this period. The effigy presents the emperor in full imperial military regalia, with the paludamentum visible over the cuirass. A Greek imperial titulature legend encircles the bust in the field, reading partially ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΠΟ ΛΙΚ ΟΥΑΛΕΡΙΑΝΟΝ ΕΥ with the letter Η also noted in the field. The style is consistent with civic bronze coinage struck under joint imperial authority in the eastern provincial workshops. |
