| Obverse description | Confronted busts of two emperors rendered in the provincial Greek style, both laureate, draped, and cuirassed, facing one another across the field; the right-facing bust depicts Valerian I and the left-facing bust depicts Valerian II (?). The Greek legend is distributed across the upper field, divided between the two effigies. The confronted bust type is characteristic of Carian civic coinage celebrating joint imperial rule, with both portraits shown frontally from the chest. |
