Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, the effigy rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style characteristic of early 2nd-century Egyptian coinage. The legend, partially legible due to wear, encircles the bust and identifies the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The flan exhibits the irregular, roughly circular fabric typical of Alexandrian bronze issues of this period. Patches of green patina overlay the dark brown bronze surface, partially obscuring the peripheral legend.
