The effigy is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with bold portraiture characteristic of the Trajanic period. Reverse description Tyche, draped, reclines to the left upon a lectisternium (a ceremonial cushioned couch), her upper body raised and head turned left. She holds a long rudder in her right hand, symbolising the guiding fortune of Alexandria. The regnal year date L ΙΘ (year 19) appears prominently in the upper field, a standard Alexandrian dating convention. The reverse field is plain, with no exergue line. The overall style reflects the distinctive flat, schematic treatment typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the early 2nd century AD.
