| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, the serpent-headed attribute rendered in fine detail at the truncation. The portrait presents a strong, idealized imperial effigy with characteristic Trajanic physiognomy. The Greek legend runs around the periphery, partially visible on this irregular flan. The coin is struck on a broad but uneven planchet, typical of Alexandrian provincial bronze coinage of this period. |
