(Translation: Emperor Trajan Augustus Germanicus Dacicus)
Reverse description Athena, helmeted and draped, strides dynamically to the right atop a serpent coiling beneath her feet, her right arm raised and brandishing a spear while her left arm bears a large round shield. The figure is rendered in a vigorous, striding posture conveying martial energy, consistent with the Alexandrian syncretism of Athena with local protective deities. The regnal date legend L ΙΓ (Year 13) is inscribed in the field to either side of the figure. A partial beaded border is visible along the right edge of the flan.
